Conveniently located in the heart of Queens, our synagogue is a home for meaningful prayer, engaging Torah study, and a warm, welcoming community.
Preserving Our Heritage, Inspiring the Future
Born in Hollywood, Florida, Rabbi Tomer Zino pursued his early education at Brauser Maimonides Academy before moving to Chicago, where he graduated from Skokie Yeshiva High School. His family later settled in Kew Gardens Hills, Queens, where he continued his studies at Yeshivat Or Hachaim and Yeshiva Gedola of Passaic.
A pivotal influence in his spiritual journey was Rabbi Aharon Walkin A”H, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva BNM of Queens, who granted him semicha and guided him in Torah study and Halachic matters. Rabbi Zino furthered his learning at Kollel Or Letzion in Beth Gavriel Bukharian Center under Rabbi Yitzchak Yisraeli Shlita.
Though of Moroccan descent, Rabbi Zino has become a key figure in the Bukharian Jewish community, embracing its traditions and values. He has extensive experience in education and outreach, previously working with multiple Queens synagogues and leading programs for public school students through the Chazaq organization. His wife, Esther Zino, is the Director of the Girls Outreach Division.
Currently, Rabbi Zino serves as the Rabbi of the Netz Minyan at Beth Gavriel Bukharian Center, where he teaches Torah, delivers daily halacha discourses, and inspires Jews from all backgrounds. He and his wife reside in Forest Hills, NY, with their four children.
